Priti Mody, Matthew McGanity and Michael Billings were named investment managers at Vanderbilt University's office of investments, Nashville, Tenn., said a university spokeswoman in an e-mail.
Ms. Mody focuses on private market investments while Messrs. McGanity and Billings focus on public market investments. In particular, Mr. McGanity focuses on long-only equities and fixed income, and Mr. Billings focuses on hedge funds.
One of the positions is new. Anders Hall, vice chancellor for investments and chief investment officer, declined to comment on which job was new and who previously held the other two investment positions.
Previously, Ms. Mody was an associate at Cogent Partners, which was bought by Greenhill & Co. earlier this year.
Mr. McGanity was a financial analyst at BBVA Compass
Mr. Billings was a vice president at First Pacific Advisors. An FPA official could not immediately be reached for information on a replacement.
Vanderbilt's investment office oversees $4.4 billion in assets, which includes about $4 billion in endowment assets.
