Jeff Nuruki was named senior vice president for the emerging markets team at TCW Group, said spokesman Doug Morris in a phone interview.
The position is new.
Mr. Nuruki will be responsible for credit research in the oil and gas and consumer sectors. He is based in Los Angeles and reports to Javier Segovia, managing director and head of emerging markets corporate credit research.
Mr. Nuruki was a credit analyst at Western Asset Management Co. Mary Athridge, a spokeswoman for WAMCO, said he was not replaced.
