Ruta Ziverte was named a senior portfolio manager in the newly formed multisector fixed-income team at OppenheimerFunds, said company spokeswoman Janelle Joseph.
The position is new.
Ms. Ziverte will be responsible for the firm’s high yield and global strategic income strategies within the team. She will be based in New York and report to Michael Mata, a senior vice president and head of multisector fixed income.
The team was formed in July and has $8.1 billion in assets.
Ms. Ziverte was a high-yield portfolio manager with GE Asset Management. The company plans to replace her, said spokesman Chris Linehan.
OppenheimerFunds had more than $233 billion in assets under management as of July 31.
