Mark Lovett was named equity chief investment officer at Nordea Asset Management, said spokesman Laurits Harmer Lassen in an e-mail.
The position was created in January and temporarily held by Christian Hyldahl, head of Nordea Asset Management, during the recruitment process.
Mr. Lovett, who will start this month, will be in charge of Nordea Asset Management's five equity boutiques, private equity and responsible investments. He also will be a member of Nordea Asset Management's senior executive management team and will report to Mr. Hyldahl.
Previously, Mr. Lovett was head of equities and deputy chief investment officer at Ignis Asset Management, which was acquired by Standard Life Investments last year.
As of June 30, Nordea Asset Management had €190.6 billion ($211.5 billion) in assets under management.
