David Hartley, chief investment officer of Sunsuper, has retired. A search is underway to identify a replacement.
Mr. Hartley will stay on full time at the Brisbane, Australia-based A$34 billion ($24.7 billion) industry superannuation fund's investment office until Aug. 21, after which he will be consulting and assisting with the transition process through early November, said Rebecca Chivers, a Sunsuper spokeswoman, in an e-mail.
Mr. Hartley, who served as Sunsuper's CIO over the past decade following a career as an Australia-based investment consultant at Mercer and Russell Investments, said in a news release that he would be taking a short break, after which he would “look for opportunities in which I can make use of the investment expertise that I have built up over my career.”
Mr. Hartley couldn't be reached immediately for further comment.
