Dhaval Parikh was named a director at the institutional client group within MetLife Investment Management, said spokesman Fred Pieretti.
The position is new. Mr. Parikh is responsible for developing and managing relationships with institutional investors and consultants.
He reports to Lou Jug, managing director and head of MetLife Investment Management’s institutional client group.
Mr. Parikh was a director at BlackRock’s alternatives investments group. It could not be learned by press time if he was replaced. Spokesman Ed Sweeney could not be reached.
MetLife has $516 billion in AUM.
