John P. Carbone was named senior vice president, institutional sales and service at Fred Alger Management, spokeswoman Ciara Brinkmann said.
The position is new. Mr. Carbone will be responsible for fostering new relationships and increasing market presence in the institutional, consultant and certain retirement and bank trust markets. He will report to Jim Tambone, executive vice president, chief distribution officer.
Mr. Carbone was vice president and director, institutional investments, East region at BNY Mellon Investment Management. BNY spokesman Stan Neve said Mr. Carbone has not yet been replaced; his responsibilities have been assumed by members of the institutional sales team.
