Trang Lam was named vice president and senior client investment officer for Northern Trust Asset Management’s multimanager investment outsourcing unit in Canada.
The position is new, said Tim Hacker, spokesman. She will be based in Toronto.
Ms. Lam will oversee investment policy development, asset allocation recommendations, risk management, investment manager search and selection, and portfolio construction.
She was senior manager, global investment risk and strategy, at TD Bank Group, where she oversaw the group’s C$9.5 billion ($7.3 billion) in combined pension and savings assets.
Meghan Thomas, TD Bank spokeswoman, said the company had no comment.
