Kentucky Retirement Systems, Frankfort, hired EFL Associates to assist in the search for a new executive director, a news release said.
The retirement systems, which administer an $11.5 billion pension fund and $4.1 billion insurance fund, issued an RFP for an executive search firm in May following the April announcement that William A. Thielen, current executive director, will retire by the end of 2015.
The KRS executive director search committee will meet soon with EFL Associates to establish a timeline for the search.
Mr. Thielen did not return a phone call by press time.
