Chad Hueffmeier joined Mercer as principal and senior financial strategy consultant, one of four new hires at the firm, said company spokeswoman Alayna Francis.
Also, Gina Hughes was named principal, project manager and annuity placement specialist; Melissa Latore-Moore as principal, annuity placement specialist; and Grace McAdam as principal, investment consultant.
The positions are new.
Mr. Hueffmeier focuses on pension risk management and pension risk transfer solutions. He is based in Mercer’s Chicago office and reports to Richard McEvoy, a partner in financial services group. He most recently was chief investment officer, pension investment risk management at Buck Consultants.
Ms. Hughes acts as the project manager and annuity placement specialist for pension risk transfer opportunities and defined benefit plan terminations. Ms. Latore-Moore is responsible for developing and marketing Mercer’s annuity placement and due diligence services for Mercer’s pension risk transfer business.
Both Ms. Hughes and Ms. Latore-Moore are based in New York and report to Rachel Wheeler, leader of Mercer’s U.S. annuity placement team. Ms. Hughes was a vice president at Dietrich & Associates while Ms. Latore-Moore was director of institutional markets at AIG.
Ms. McAdam is responsible for advising clients on matters related to investment performance and risk, policy and governance of institutional assets. She works from Mercer’s Toronto office and reports to Mercer Canada’s investment consulting practice market business leader, Mathieu Tanguay. Ms. McAdam was an investment consultant at Aon Hewitt.
