Adam Pillay was named executive director and real estate Asia-Pacific platform specialist at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, spokesman Matthew Chisum said.
The position is new. Mr. Pillay is responsible for advising institutional investors on real estate investing in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as creating and maintaining client relationships across JPMAM’s global real assets platform, which has $84 billion in assets. He is based in New York and reports to Doug Doughty, managing director and global head of business development, global real assets, at JPMAM.
Mr. Pillay was a vice president at CIM Group. Spokesman Bill Mendel declined to comment on a replacement.
JPMAM's AUM totaled $1.78 trillion as of June 30.
