Mike Sales will become chief executive of TH Real Estate, effective Sept. 1, a spokeswoman for the firm confirmed Tuesday.
He will replace James Darkins, who retires from the position at the end of August, but will stay on as an executive director through the end of the year working on strategic initiatives, the spokeswoman said.
Currently, Mr. Sales serves as managing director, Europe, for TH Real Estate. Asked about a replacement for the European role, the spokeswoman the firm will be reviewing its organizational structure and considering needed changes over the coming months.
TH Real Estate is a London-based subsidiary of TIAA-CREF.
