California State University, Long Beach, named Fidelity Investments, TIAA-CREF and VALIC as finalists in its search for record keepers for its $1.1 billion 403(b) plan, said a notice on PlanetBids, a procurement website.
The university issued an RFP in April because the contracts of the five current record keepers are due to expire Dec. 31. Aside from the finalists, MetLife and Voya Retirement Services are the other current record keepers.
The university could hire multiple record keepers or a single firm.
Finalist interviews are scheduled for Aug. 10, with a decision expected Aug. 24.
Melody Kojima, interim director, contract services and procurement, did not reply to requests for further information by press time.
