Tennessee Department of the Treasury is searching for a deputy chief investment officer, said Shelli King, spokeswoman for David H. Lillard Jr., state treasurer.
Mr. Lillard oversees the $43 billion Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Nashville, in addition to $8 billion in short-term assets, $5 billion in defined contribution plans and $1 billion in endowment funds.
The department has posted the job to fill the vacancy left by Andrew Palmer’s departure at the end of June. Mr. Palmer begins his new position as CIO of the $45.7 billion Maryland State Retirement & Pension System, Baltimore, on July 22.
