London Borough of Brent Pension Fund, Middlesex, England, hired Northern Trust as its global custodian, said Julian Pendock, investment and pensions manager.
Northern Trust also will provide performance measurement and valuation reporting services for the £650 million ($1 billion) pension fund.
The pension fund did not have a previous provider, said Mr. Pendock in an e-mail.
