Craig Stevenson was named global head of investment consultant relationships at Old Mutual Global Investors, spokeswoman Vee Montebello confirmed.
The position is new. Mr. Stevenson joined the firm on Wednesday to build and strengthen the business relationships with investment consultants globally. He is based in London and reports to CEO Julian Ide and Donald Pepper, head of institutional and alternatives.
Mr. Stevenson was a senior investment consultant at Towers Watson and led equity hedge fund research. His responsibilities have been assumed by other members of the staff, spokesman Josh Wozman said.
Old Mutual Global Investors, a unit of South Africa-based Old Mutual PLC, had £22.5 billion ($35.1 billion) in assets under management as of March 31.
