I want to echo the comments by Gary Findlay about divesting of public employees' retirement assets to serve a public purpose (Other Views, June 15).
The fiduciary responsibility of the trustees of any retirement plan is to the plan participants. It stops there.
Their entire focus should be to seek the maximum return possible, within the investment guidelines, for the plan participants without regard to any other objective.
It's that simple.
