Denver Water rehired Empower Retirement as record keeper for its 401(k) and 457 plans, spokesman Travis Thompson said in an e-mail.
An RFP was issued in February because Empower’s contract is due to expire on Dec. 31.
The other finalists were Fidelity Investments, ICMA-RC and TIAA-CREF.
Investment consultant Cook Street Consulting assisted.
The 401(k) and 457 plans had about $110 million in combined assets as of June 30.
