Arkansas State Highway Employees’ Retirement System, Little Rock, hired Garcia Hamilton & Associates to run $40 million in core fixed income, said Larry Dickerson, executive secretary.
An RFP was issued in March.
Funding will come from rebalancing.
The $1.4 billion pension fund has a 20% target fixed-income allocation.
