John Rushen joined Insight Investment as head of institutional for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, confirmed a spokeswoman for the firm.
The role is new, and Mr. Rushen is based in London.
He holds a principal role in driving the firm’s business development strategy in the region, and works with clients and consultants for outcome-driven investment strategies.
He reports to Philip Anker, global head of distribution. Insight Investment manages £397 billion ($594.8 billion) of assets across liability-driven investments, fixed-income and currency, global multiasset and absolute return, global farmland, and specialist equity strategies.
Mr. Rushen previously was head of EMEA investment services at Aon Hewitt. A spokesman for Aon Hewitt confirmed his departure, and said his responsibilities had been taken on by members of his team.
