New Mexico Public Employees Retirement Association, Santa Fe, N.M., is searching for a new deputy chief investment officer to replace Julian Baca, who resigned July 2 to take a research position at the University of New Mexico, said Jonathan Grabel, CIO for the $14.8 billion pension fund.
The deputy CIO serves as a backup to the chief investment officer and helps monitor, evaluate and make recommendations across asset classes and investment strategies. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business management and administration, and four years’ work experience in institutional investing, pension fund management or trust fund management.
