Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System, Springfield, has posted an RFP searching for three private equity co-investment consultants.
The $50 billion pension fund had $5.1 billion in private equity as of March 31, according to the RFP. The amount committed and invested in co-investments was not provided.
The five-year contracts of the three existing co-investment consultants — LP Capital Advisors, Stout Risius Ross and TorreyCove Capital Partners — expire in November. Jerry Quandt, TRS’ investment officer for private equity, said during a June 25 board of trustees meeting that the three firms can rebid for the new five-year contracts.
The RFP is available on the pension fund’s website. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. CDT on July 24. The co-investment consultants will be selected and approved by trustees at the Oct. 29 board meeting.
