William Hoyt was named managing director and head of research and portfolio management at investment strategy firm Lattice Strategies, spokesman Matthew Kirdahy said.
It is a new position.
Mr. Hoyt is responsible for the management, implementation and development of Lattice's multiasset and single-asset investment strategies, Mr. Kirdahy wrote.
Mr. Hoyt reports to Ted Lucas, Lattice founder and managing partner.
Previously, Mr. Hoyt was head of quantitative equities and a portfolio manager at Pyramis Global Advisors. A spokeswoman for parent company Fidelity Investments said Mr. Hoyt’s responsibilities have been absorbed by existing staff.
As of June 30, about $1.8 billion of institutional and retail assets were managed in investment strategies developed by Lattice.
