Don MacQuattie was named managing director and head of defined contribution for J.P. Morgan Asset Management's global strategic relationships group, spokesman Matthew Chisum said.
The position is new. Mr. MacQuattie will lead the group's sales and service efforts to deliver DC solutions across all of JPMAM's U.S. funds' distribution channels. He will report to Robert Stark, managing director and head of global strategic relationships.
Mr. MacQuattie was a vice president at Capital Group's institutional business. Spokesman Abbas Qasim did not return a phone call requesting additional information by press time.
JPMAM has more than $1.6 trillion in assets under management.
