El Paso City Employees puts $25 million in private equity fund of funds

El Paso (Texas) City Employees’ Pension Fund committed $25 million to Portfolio Advisors Private Equity Fund VIII, a private equity fund of funds, said Robert Ash, executive director, in an e-mail.

The $723 million pension fund previously invested with Portfolio Advisors.

The pension fund has a 7% target allocation to private equity and an actual allocation of about 3.5%.
