Orange County Library System, Orlando, Fla., is searching for an active international equity manager to run $2.5 million for its $44 million defined benefit plan, said William E. Dahab, principal and director of research at Dahab Associates, the system’s investment consultant.
The library system is conducting the search as part of an effort to move away from purely passive management. Funding will come from a Vanguard Group international equity index fund, which currently has $8 million in plan assets.
The RFP is available on Dahab’s website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EDT on July 22. A timeline for a decision has yet to be determined.
