California State Teachers’ Retirement System, West Sacramento, is searching for a hedge fund consultant, said an RFP issued Wednesday.
The chosen firm is expected to provide expertise on hedge fund investments via managed accounts for $193.1 billion pension fund. This is an additional consulting contract for the pension fund. Lyxor Asset Management also does hedge fund consulting for CalSTRS.
As of March 31, CalSTRS’ hedge fund investments and commitments totaled $1.3 billion.
The RFP is available on procurement website BidSync. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. PDT Aug. 10. A hiring date has not been determined.
The contract term will be for three years, with three possible one-year extensions.
