San Francisco City & County Employees’ Retirement System committed up to $75 million to TA XII, managed by TA Associates, spokesman Norm Nickens said in an e-mail.
The buyout fund is raising $4 billion and is looking for investments on a global basis. Since 1993, the pension fund has made total commitments of $135 million to seven other TA Associates funds and received $166.2 million in capital distributions on original investments of $120.2 million.
