Australia has the highest number of investors among the world's 100 largest institutional investors in infrastructure.
According to a report Thursday by Preqin, Australia has 15 investors in the top 100. Canada and the U.S. are tied for second with 14 each. The U.K. (12), and Netherlands and South Korea (7 each) rounded out the top five.
The research firm estimates that the 100 largest institutional investors in the asset class (by capital committed) have $242 billion invested.
