San Francisco City & County Employees’ Retirement System committed up to $50 million to Westbrook Real Estate Fund X, said Norm Nickens, spokesman for the $20 billion pension fund.
The Westbrook Partners’ fund is an opportunistic real estate fund. The firm seeks to target about 50% of commitments in the U.S., 40% in Western Europe, and the remainder in Japan and other countries. This is the pension fund’s first commitment to Westbrook Partners.
The fund is seeking to raise $2.5 billion.
