CalPERS hired Goldman Sachs Asset Management to run $1 billion in a developed markets all-cap equity momentum strategy and another $250 million for an emerging markets all-cap momentum strategy, spokesman Joe DeAnda said.
The $304.1 billion California Public Employees’ Retirement System, Sacramento, also committed $400 million to an Insight Venture Partners customized investment separate account and another $100 million to Insight Venture Partners Fund IX, a venture capital fund that focuses on growth-oriented software and software-related companies, agenda material for the pension fund’s June 15 investment committee meeting shows.
