Bei Saville was named senior vice president and senior client investment officer for endowments and foundations within Northern Trust Asset Management’s multimanager solutions group, spokesman John O’Connell said in an e-mail.
It is a new position. As senior client investment officer, Ms. Saville manages endowment and foundation investment programs, including developing investment policies, asset allocation recommendations, risk management, investment manager searches and selection, and portfolio construction.
Ms. Saville reports to John Keshner, managing director of the not-for-profit client segment at Northern Trust Asset Management.
“With her perspective on foundations and expertise in private equity, hedge funds and other alternative assets, Bei Saville is a valuable addition to our group,” Mr. Keshner said in a news release.
Previously, Ms. Saville was director of alternative investments at the $5.7 billion Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, New York. The trust is searching for a director of investments, said a spokeswoman for the trust.
Northern Trust’s multimanager solutions group had $63.1 billion in assets under management and about $43 billion under advisement as of March 31.
