Christopher M. Meyer was named managing principal at Truepoint Institutional Advisors, a new investment management division of Truepoint Wealth Counsel, a spokeswoman said.
It is a new position. Mr. Meyer, who started last week, will support Truepoint as it looks to expand its institutional investment offerings.
Initially, Mr. Meyer will focus on small to midsize institutions, providing comprehensive investment management strategies and ongoing oversight.
Mr. Meyer reports to Steve Condon, president of Truepoint Wealth Counsel.
Previously, Mr. Meyer was managing principal and chief investment officer at Fund Evaluation Group. His responsibilities were assumed by Gregory M. Dowling and J. Alan Lenahan, both managing principals and deputy CIOs, said FEG in an e-mailed statement. He also is the board chairman of the $2.3 billion Cincinnati Retirement System.
Truepoint Wealth Counsel had more than $2 billion in assets under management as of March 31, $120 million of which was institutional.
