Carl D. Bell was named managing director and co-head of investments at Invictus Capital Partners, said a spokeswoman for the alternative money manager in an e-mail.
It is a new position.
Mr. Bell, who started last week, is responsible for “sourcing opportunities in residential and commercial real estate, consumer and corporate credit, and supporting the firm’s sales and client service teams by articulating its business and value proposition for lenders and investors,” wrote the spokeswoman. “Hiring Carl represents another key step in our plan to substantially increase our resources targeted at bringing the most attractive debt opportunities to our clients,” said Michael W. Warden, CEO, in a news release.
Mr. Bell reports to Mr. Warden.
Previously, Mr. Bell was deputy chief investment officer and head of securitized credit for Amundi Smith Breeden.
Mr. Bell’s investment responsibilities have been assumed by Noah Funderburk, senior vice president and portfolio manager at Amundi Smith Breeden, in conjunction with the firm’s mortgage team, said Elke Urban, executive vice president and chief market advisory officer at Amundi Smith Breeden, in an e-mailed statement.
