Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Nashville, plans to hire TorreyCove Capital Partners as its private equity consultant, pending contract negotiations, said Shelli King, spokeswoman for David H. Lillard Jr., state treasurer, who oversees the pension fund, in an e-mail.
The $42.3 billion pension fund issued an RFP in March due to a requirement on how long the pension fund can have vendors under contract before putting their services up for bid.
The contract of the current consultant, Cambridge Associates, expires June 30. The firm was invited to rebid; whether the firm did so could not be learned by press time.
Ms. King did not respond to requests for further information by press time.
