Mr. Johnson is expected to start mid-July and will replace Ben Stewart who joined real estate development firm Humphreys Co. as managing director of investor relations. Mr. Stewart had been director, investments, but with the same duties as CIO.

Mr. Johnson is currently director of quantitative research and a managing director at Cambridge Associates. He will be replaced by Tom Danielson, a managing director and member of the firm’s quantitative research group, Cambridge Associates said in a statement.
A search for a CIO was launched in February following Mr. Stewart’s departure. Executive search firm Villareal & Associates assisted.
