Ron Mock, president and CEO of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Toronto, will take over as interim chief investment officer of the C$154.4 billion ($128.5 billion) pension fund when current CIO Neil Petroff retires June 1, spokeswoman Deborah Allan said.
Mr. Petroff announced March 30 that he was retiring from the post. At that time, OTPP said it would include both internal and external candidates in its search to replace Mr. Petroff.
Ms. Allan said that search has not been completed.
Prior to his appointment as president and CEO on Jan. 1, 2014, Mr. Mock had been senior vice president, fixed income and alternatives, at the pension fund.
