Phoenix City Employees’ Retirement System hired Meketa Investment Group as general investment consultant and RVK as real estate consultant, said Greg Fitchet, investment officer for the $2.2 billion pension fund.
Pension fund officials issued an RFP in March for a sole consultant, although the RFP mentioned the work could be split between general consulting and real estate consulting for the first time. RVK had been the pension fund’s lone investment consultant since 2005.
Other finalists were NEPC and Sellwood Consulting.
