Lee Ann Palladino, chief investment officer of the $29.6 billion Connecticut Retirement Plans & Trust Funds, Hartford, will retire, said state Treasurer Denise L. Nappier.
Ms. Nappier has named Deborah Spalding to serve as interim CIO upon Ms. Palladino’s retirement July 1. Ms. Spalding is currently deputy CIO.
The search process for a permanent CIO is still to be determined, according to the state treasurer’s office.
Ms. Nappier said in a news release that Ms. Palladino “is to be credited with strengthening the management of a demanding and complex investment program, and spearheading many successful investment initiatives.”
Ms. Palladino has been CIO of the CRPTF since 2011.
