Macon (Ga.) Fire & Police Department Employees’ Retirement System is searching for an investment consultant, said Dale Walker, Macon-Bibb County manager.
The $220 million pension fund issued an RFP as a due diligence measure, Mr. Walker said. Current consultant Independent Portfolio Consultants is invited to rebid.
The pension fund has been closed since Jan. 1, 2014, when the city of Macon and Bibb County consolidated their operations. Employees hired after that date are participants in the $150 million Macon-Bibb County Employees’ Retirement System.
The RFP is available on the county’s website. Proposals are due at noon EDT on June 18. A timetable for a decision has yet to be determined.
