Heath Lukatch has joined TPG Biotech, private equity firm TPG’s life science venture capital business, as a managing director and partner, spokeswoman Georgia Gonder said in an e-mail.
It is a new position, Ms. Gonder wrote. “In the three years that I worked with Heath personally at McKinsey & Co., and the following years in which we invested in a number of companies together, I’ve been constantly impressed with his diverse experience and knowledge of the industry, as well as how active and helpful he’s been to his teams and portfolio companies,” said Heather Preston, partner and managing director at TPG, in a statement.
Mr. Lukatch was a partner at Novo Ventures. Peter Tuxen Bisgaard, partner with Novo Ventures, could not be reached by press time.
TPG Biotech has about $1.3 billion in assets under management.
