Tobias C. Pross was named head of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Allianz Global Investors, in an expansion of his existing role, a spokesman said.
Mr. Pross is currently head of distribution Europe, and will assume the additional responsibilities June 1.
The role was held on an interim basis by George McKay, who took over last summer in addition to his position as global chief operating officer. James Dilworth held the role prior to that, until July 2014. Mr. Dilworth joined Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management as head of active asset management.
In his new role, Mr. Pross also joins the global executive committee of AllianzGI.
