Norfolk County Retirement System, Canton, Mass., is searching for an opportunistic hedge fund-of-funds manager to run up to $10 million.
Wainwright Investment Counsel, investment consultant to the $770 million pension fund, is assisting with the search.
“The proposed fund shall be co-investing with other hedge funds in investment opportunities that may need time to realize its value. The fund should be able to exploit these opportunities on a global basis,” the RFP said.
The RFP is available on Wainwright’s website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on May 29. A selection date has not yet been determined.
Patrick LePage, assistant executive director of the pension fund, and Gustavo Aristizabal, Wainwright president, could not be reached for comment by press time.
