Saguna Malhotra, managing director, private equity for Stanford Management Co., will be joining private equity management firm Adams Street Partners as a partner in mid-June, said Martin Gawne, Adams Street spokesman, in an e-mail.
Ms. Malhotra will be a member of Adams Street Partners' primary investment team and will be based in Menlo Park, Calif.
Ms. Malhotra has been responsible for the Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford University endowment's $5.7 billion private equity portfolio, which represents more than 20% of endowment assets. Lisa Lapin, Stanford spokeswoman, said in an e-mail that “the university is not able to discuss personnel matters, including transitions and recruitments.”
