Rachel Farrell, a managing director with J.P. Morgan Asset Management, was promoted to head of sovereign and institutional, Asia-Pacific ex-Japan, the manager announced.
The formal announcement was made Monday, but Ms. Farrell assumed the responsibilities in August, a Hong Kong-based spokesman for the firm said. She replaced Andrew Economos, who left J.P. Morgan Asset Management a year ago to join Capital Group as senior vice president, strategic solutions.
For her new job, Ms. Farrell moved to Hong Kong from Singapore, where she served as head of sovereign and institutional, South and Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
A spokeswoman for J.P. Morgan Asset Management said Ms. Farrell’s Singapore role won’t be filled.
