Elizabeth Para was named U.K. institutional business development manager at Newton Investment Management, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Ms. Para reports to Julian Lyne, head of U.K. institutional business development and global consultants, and is responsible for building new client relationships and driving the firm’s presence among corporate and local authority pension funds.
“(Ms. Para’s) experience will complement our existing 14-strong team and help drive our long-term strategy to increase focus on key investment strategies for both defined contribution and defined benefit pension schemes, and to grow our business,” Mr. Lyne said in a news release.
Ms. Para was most recently at Fundsmith, where she focused on institutional sales and consultant relations, the news release said. Officials at Fundsmith could not be reached for comment by press time.
