Peter Cazalet joined UBS Global Asset Management as executive director, U.K. business development, said a spokesman for the firm.
The role is new, reflecting growth in the institutional business, the spokesman said. Mr. Cazalet focuses on business development opportunities within the U.K. retirement market. He reports to Malcolm Gordon, managing director, head of U.K. institutional.
Ian Barnes, head of U.K. and Ireland at UBS Global Asset Management, said in a news release that Mr. Cazalet's hire and other recent appointments “underpin our ambitious plans to further grow the U.K. business.”
Mr. Cazalet was managing director, client adviser in the U.K. institutional marketing and relationship management team, at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, a role he left last year. A spokeswoman for the firm said he was not replaced.
