Diana Awed was named head of retirement product and marketing at T. Rowe Price Retirement Plan Services.
The position is new, said Thomasin Mullen, a spokeswoman. Ms. Awed is in charge of developing new products, supervising participant communications and services, and overseeing marketing strategies and activities.
Ms. Mullen said in an interview Friday that the marketing and product management responsibilities had been handled by two different executives. The marketing director has left the company and the product-management director has been assigned other responsibilities, Ms. Mullen said, declining to identify the executives or provide additional details.
“The alignment of our product, marketing and participant communication teams under a single leader reflects our continued commitment to the development and deployment of innovative retirement solutions,” Aimee DeCamillo, head of T. Rowe Price Retirement Plan Services, said in a news release.
Ms. Awed had been head of marketing, retirement and mutual funds at Broadridge Financial Solutions. Katherine McGann, a spokeswoman for Broadridge, said in an e-mail Ms. Awed left the company in early April and that “we expect to fill the role soon.”
