Woburn (Mass.) Retirement System is searching for a high-yield bond manager to run up to $6.5 million and a passive U.S. large-cap core equity manager to run about $11.6 million for the $130 million pension fund.
Wainwright Investment Counsel, investment consultant to the pension fund, is assisting with the search.
For the high-yield bond manager search, the proposed strategy should be benchmarked to the Barclays High Yield Bond index or other comparable index. Only commingled strategies will be considered.
For the passive U.S. large-cap core equity manager search, the proposed strategy should be passively benchmarked to the Russell 1000 index. No active or semi-passive strategies will be considered. Only commingled strategies will be considered.
The RFPs can be found on Wainwright’s website. Proposals for both searches are due by 2 p.m. EDT on May 28. Hiring dates have yet to be determined.
