Texas Woman's University, Denton, is searching for an investment manager for its $12.8 million endowment, said Brenda Floyd, vice president for finance and administration.
The search is being conducted due to the upcoming contract expiration of its current investment manager, which Ms. Floyd declined to name. Ms. Floyd referred questions about the current manger to the university general counsel, who could not immediately be reached.
The selected firm will report to the staff on a quarterly basis, which then reports to the board of regents. A portion of the endowment is managed internally by university staff.
The RFP is available on the Texas comptroller of public accounts' website. Proposals are due by 3 p.m. CDT on June 1. A hiring decision is expected before the end of August, when the current manager's contract expires.
